Enchanted Message
I spent the last few days with my husband and life partner, and when I told him I wasn’t sure I had any magic to write about for our message this week, he said maybe I should answer the question, “What do you do when nothing magical happens?” So I laughed and asked him what the answer was, and he laughed and said he didn’t know and then added, “But we are always surrounded by the magic, so we just have to look for it.” Huh, he must be reading our messages! 😉
Then, I woke up this morning and felt the magic of having a life partner to greet me with a chuckle when I waddle out of the dark bedroom, down the hallway with my eyes all scrunched up as they adjust to the light of our sunny living room. It wasn’t the stars-aligning kind of magic that dazzles me with synchronicities and serendipities, but… or was it?
The magic I already have is in fact dazzling…
Just because something is with me everyday, does not diminish the miraculous gift that it is in my life. The magic in the origin story of our partnership is only less present today than it was on the day it happened all those years ago if I choose for it to be. I can certainly still feel the dazzling awe and wonder I felt then, when, after a period of taking active steps to manifest my life partner and finally knowing and declaring with all the power of my will and destiny that I was done being alone, he showed up within two weeks.
In fact, doesn’t the addition of days spent living in the resulting partnership of that magic multiply it? The magic says YES and adds that being aware of the magic that is already in your life calls more of that same kind of magic to you. Whether it’s love and life-partnership magic or money and ease magic or health and comfort magic, or any other kind of magic, noticing what you already have brings more of the same.
I got some dazzling new magic anyway…
And that’s just what happened next. Like you find in any good romantic comedy, after I embraced the deeper gift I was being offered (of seeing the magic in what I already have) I was rewarded with what I originally wanted (dazzling new magic). It happened last night, but I didn’t know it until today!
Between the conversation with my hubby earlier this week, about finding magic, and him chuckling this morning at my scrunched up eyes and wild hair, we had an emotionally charged conversation about a business decision in which he gave me some wise advice. To decompress while he was getting ready for bed, I decided some magical fun was in order and played a few rounds of a video game called Bubble Witch (perfect for this magical girl from polka dot heaven!).
I played the same level over and over again, happy to find the magic in the same thing again and again, just like I’m doing today with my husband. My score and ranking kept getting higher and higher as my familiarity, dedication and appreciation grew, just like my happiness does with my partnership. And then, just when my husband was available to connect again, and I was getting up to go thank him for his help, I finished a round and got the #1 spot with a high score that blew my mind. It was in fact a higher score than I thought possible in the game, but that’s not what dazzled me. What knocked my socks off was that the score was an exact match of our wedding date, with a zero tacked on the end… 77170! What!!!!!
Magic numbers and soul mates…
7/7/17, that’s our wedding date. All this guidance came this morning about the magic of partnership, and I got magical validation for it last night, before it even happened. And then, after being guided to write this message out for you, I asked the Oracle of the Unicorns by Cordelia Francesca Brabbs who our messenger was, and pulled the Partnership Unicorn card! What!!!!
But why would the magic stop there?
