A genius portal mentorship is a “what’s in there” birthing experience that provides access points, channeling techniques, and collection steps, to bring forth what’s in there—in you, your soul, your creative genius. Something is trying to be born into the world through you. It may be very personal—a sense of identity, a personal mythos, a mystic origin. It may be a work of creative genius—a poem, an art project, an entrepreneurial program or service. It may be a story project—a novel, a screenplay, an autobiography.
Those waves of anxious energy you’re feeling around the project or the sense of self you’ve been inspired to move toward, those are birthing pangs. They know just what to do to bring forth the new thing that is emerging through you. But for you it may feel overwhelming or simply undecipherable. In our genius portal work, you will learn how to get into flow with those pangs, to trust their guidance, and to translate them into creative action that delivers your newling into your arms—into physical form—be it on paper, in audio or video format, or another physically accessible medium.
ABOUT CHANNELING MY BOOK…
I felt called to write a book in my early twenties… but I couldn’t fully wrangle what was trying to emerge from within me until more than a decade later. It wasn’t until I started to realize that my insights were more than just part of my natural intelligence and training that the bottle neck gave way to an open channel for the whole bundle of genius to come through.
Track 1: Cosmos of the Soul
A genius portal mentorship on the Cosmos of the Soul track is a self-discovery pathway for the soul-seeker. I’ve been a spiritually-oriented person all my life, contemplating the deep existential and metaphysical questions even in early childhood. Now, as I look back at it all, I see how my soul-driven inquiries have taken me on a spiraling journey, circling around the same themes with new understanding each time around, and sometimes landing me at an end point of some part of my life, ready to venture into something new, but not knowing quite yet what that is. When I’ve had the inner fortune to meet these moments with curiosity and receptivity, I’ve been able to move through the unknowingness and eventually find more light than I had before. In these times the driving question has been, who am I now? Whatever I thought I was before is not what’s alive for me now, and I’m here to be alive now.
This mentorship is designed to guide you in building a soulful and alive “who-am-I-now?” sense of identity by generating moments of connection with your depths as well as with your expanses. What wonders lie within you? What wonders whirl around in the personal cosmos around you? It is both an inquiry and a communion. You will ask your questions, seek your understandings, and learn to be in communion with what you find. You may find a personal truth, a spirit guide, a mystical origin. You may find a tree, a rumble of thunder, a soup spoon. You will learn to feel into the life force of these inner and outer reflections of self. And you will build your “who-am-I-now?” sense of identity on what you find is alive for you.

Track 2: Genius Dimension
A genius portal mentorship on the Genius Dimension track is a deep-dive into creative processing and channeling focused on project-oriented goals. I was called to writing at an early age and followed the call to earn a BA in Literature from UCSB and an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA. The tools and techniques I developed during my education have turned out a bestselling book, a feature film script that was championed at Sony, a television pilot that was championed at NBC, and countless other works including blogs, courses, workshops, videos, ceremonies, events, novels, poems, games and more. These tools and techniques are the practical part of what I will be sharing with you.
And then there’s more. What takes my creative work to the next level is the soul connection I experience in my creative process. It’s as spiritually connective as any meditation I have ever done, if not more, and it’s the magical part of what I will be sharing with you in this multi-faceted mentorship.

ABOUT STORY STRUCTURE…
A story arc that works is a strategic system of beats that function together to reach a satisfying climax. If one beat is not providing the right kind of dramatic tension in relation to the other beats, the whole system loses its tension and fails — like a tent with a missing pole. The good news is how easy it is to get that tent standing when you know what all the pieces look like and you have a limitless supply of parts, as you do in the universe of creative genius within you. I work with writers of all levels to calibrate this system and take that story to the next level.

Lessons
Each week of this 3-month mentorship, you’ll receive a magical PDF mini-workbook containing 1 lesson and 3 genius portal exercises—plus BONUS stuff. I will email your PDF mini-workbooks on Mondays to give you time over the week to engage with the access points, birthing techniques, and collection strategies among them. Lessons range in length from 2-6 pages and are designed to be 30-60 minutes to complete, with at least one repeatable activity each, to provide effective practice that fits into a busy lifestyle. You will be free to do your lessons at times that are convenient for you and email me about your experiences, if you like, to be witnessed and because I love hearing about it.

Once a month at a time that fits into your schedule, we will meet live on Zoom for Q&A + guided exercises, or sharing your creations if you wish. For textual projects and journal shares, we can cover up to 8 poetic pieces or 1500 words in prose per meeting.

ABOUT THE SOUL’S SURPRISING WAYS…
I remember the first time I was consciously aware of asking the question, “Who am I now?” It came forth through something no one would think was a spiritual guidance—suddenly I wanted to wear skirts. What?!! Fashion? That’s the language my soul was using to get my attention? Yep! Being a tomboy and wearing jeans as much as possible up to that point, the sudden shift in wardrobe preference really caught my attention and helped me get moving in my soul quest for the newly emerging me. The light that came forth at that time was the total lifestyle immersion into mysticism by way of the feminine side of my spiritual gifting—channeling. The skirt thing didn’t really stick, but every once in a blue moon you might still find me wearing one.
