Magical Greetings from Carson City!
This week our message comes to us from the Hourglass, of The Oracle of the Realm, who invites us to step out of time to see the glorious truth about our connection with something from our past.
Enchanted Message
There’s magic in the air this wintertime as so many in the world celebrate the touch of the divine upon humanity through the holidays of the season. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Yule… all reminding us of our origins, our source, our meaningful place in the grand scheme of things. As the Hourglass so magically alludes to, this is a time of reflection.
Why magical? Because when I started writing this message, I knew I wanted to play some reindeer games with Christmas characters, and I knew I wanted to celebrate the holidays of the season, and I knew I wanted to give some insight about the energies of winter, but I didn’t see how all of these things would come together, and I didn’t know who our messenger would be.
So I asked the oracle for guidance and it gave us the Hourglass. Still I didn’t see a connection, but then I got called away to attend to some Christmas magic with my future mother-in-law and husband, and the oracle nudged me onward with a clue…
It was a message from my spirit dad that came through a nostalgic Christmas song by Dan Fogelberg called Same Old Lang Syne, to remind me of how much he cherishes the Christmastimes we spent together when he was still with me in physical form. It was like time melted away and I was swept right back to 1970’s Christmastime with him… exactly what the Hourglass tells us, in The Treasury chapter of The Realm, is possible with passed loved ones and past loved ones and all things past… including childhood itself.
And that’s where the connection is. Childhood. That’s where the winter energy of reflection and the holiday spirit of origins and the playful nature of reindeer games come together. That’s where we can start with playfulness and choose which Christmas character we like best so we can land ourselves in a Christmas tribe and feel magical and special. From there we can take up Hourglass’s invitation to reflect and connect with our origins.

Supplies: Paper. Pen.
- Take two deep breaths and become aware that you are inside your body.
- Draw your Christmas character very big on your paper.
- Ask your soul what special moment or person from your past your Christmas character connects with.
- Draw or write whatever comes on the outside borders of your drawing.
- Keep asking for connection until you are clear about it.
- Now ask your soul how this special part of your past shows your great value.
- Draw or write whatever comes in the area of your Christmas character’s heart.
- When you feel complete thank your soul for connecting you with the origin of something special within you.
- This week, share your magic, and remember your great value whenever you see your Christmas character.
